We are working on behalf of a fast growing, multi-site care service provider, with ambitious further expansion plans; both organically and via acquisition. Fundamental to the successful operation of this residential care and supported living organisation is its People.

Our client therefore seeks a passionate, empathetic and highly organised Area Manager to become a key part of their Leadership Team and take responsibility for all services across the Essex & Hertfordshire region. This will entail the motivation and management of a dedicated team of c 100 colleagues with 5 direct reports.

You will possess high levels of emotional intelligence and be committed to engendering a “needs led”, “person centred” approach and an embedded culture of quality, customer service, continuous improvement and wellbeing, whilst also ensuring that the Health & Social Care Act 2008, The Care Act 2014 and the requirements of CQC, together with all other relative legislative requirements are met.

You will possess NVQ 4 level or equivalent qualifications in Health & Social Care or Management with

a proven track record in operating at management level in a residential or supported living environment with significant experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.

This varied and responsible operational management remit will include effective people leadership, developing & maintaining strong quality management processes and controls, managing budgets and financial reporting, ensuring health & safety compliance, maximising effective partnerships with mainstream and specialist services e.g. Health, Education, Employment, Leisure etc, supporting the Operations Director with commercial initiatives and act as a company Ambassador at events and meetings.
